Remember 2020 when people started with backyard chickens and fresh baked bread? We took it a step further, backyard chickens and homemade bread were not quite enough. We moved out of the city (ironically we moved out of farm country in central Wisconsin to start our farm) and moved to Hodag country. We couldn’t have landed in a more wonderful spot. We moved our chickens and added goats, then pigs, then rabbits to our farm.
We strive to live a self sustainable life, we grow and preserve our own food. We love cooking and baking from scratch. Our dream is to share the wealth with our community. We want to help provide farm fresh produce and a little beauty to our area.
Our house is kind of famous around here, we live in the old Crescent Flats Elementary school. Over the years we’ve lived here we’ve heard stories about the building and we love hearing how it was full of children. We homeschool, so the building lives on as a school, in a much smaller capacity. The exterior definitely needs some TLC, and I promise, we’re working on it. It’s a large building and fixing it up the correct way is quite the process.
Our long term goal is to expand our produce production and start a modest sized goat dairy. For now our plans are to provide what we can, we’ll have fresh produce and goodies for sale seasonally at our roadside farm stand. In practicing sustainability, anything that isn’t purchased throughout the day will go to our very grateful garbage disposals, our pigs; Helga, Olga, Brutus, and Griphook.
Thanks for supporting our family farm!
